We are a high rise condominium in Miami, Florida. We were required by the City of Miami to certify the building at its 40 year anniversary. This required extensive construction work, primarily focused on the structural components and restorative work required for compliance to both the City and the Structural Engineer. Despite having the Engineer of Record involved with the entire process, we felt it would be beneficial to have an independent, 3rd party, involved who was knowledgeable with the construction practices and the costs associated with the work. Dutch Bliss of Bliss Construction was highly recommended to us and we brought him on board to act as our Owner’s Representative. Having worked for nearly three years with Dutch, I am happy to provide my recommendation to others in need of such services. Dutch was a critical component of our construction management team. He has saved us considerable sums of money and was able to assist in expediting the work even with the significant bumps in the road encountered. Although he was hired as our Owner’s Representative, he actually took on the role of our Project Manager throughout the entire process. He has also earned the status, in our eyes, as being more of a trusted advisor than anything else. We value his friendship, input and opinion and would not think twice about involving him in any future work where his services would benefit our association.
